Photo Essay: Off-The-Beaten-Path in Northern Nevada

If you're like most people, than when you think of Southern Nevada and Northern Nevada, or just Nevada in general, you probably think Las Vegas and Reno. But what lies beyond the neon lights and casino hotels? Well a lot, actually. First and foremost, there are mountains for days. In fact, the most mountains of any state in North America, since Nevada is the nation's most mountainous state. Additionally, in Northern Nevada there's one of the world's most beautiful lakes, Lake Tahoe, which Nevada splits custody of with California. Yet beyond Lake Tahoe, Northern Nevada's terrain continues to be vast, dramatic, and beautiful. Needless to say, there's more than meets the eye.

So following the recent Nevada Day (yes, that's a real thing, one of the largest celebrations of statehood in America), it was only fitting to share a few of my favorite photos of Northern Nevada beyond just Reno. So today I come to you with a few of my favorite off-the-beaten-path Northern Nevada photos.
